Join us at 9:30 AM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Eagles Building 50 East 1st Street, Tooele, Utah. Our June meeting will be held at Spiers Farm. Our purpose is to encourage, promote, and pre-serve the art of quilting. Activities include educational classes and guest presentations, charity and service projects, challenge quilts, block of the month, mystery quilt and a monthly newsletter emailed to you (Jan-Nov), and much more! Annual dues $20.00. Visitors are welcome.

In the Sewing Room of... Kathy England.
This months Sewing Room Interview is with Kathy England... this project has to be one of my favorite things!! Lets get started...
Q- What is your favorite thing in your sewing room?
A- I LOVE my long arm...and the view from my sewing room is pretty awesome!
Q- What is the most annoying thing about your sewing room?
A- When I get REALLY messy!
Q- What thing in your sewing room could you NOT live without?
A- My cutting table.
That IS pretty awesome!! I think we would all love to know where you found this lovely piece!
Q-What is your current project you are working on?
A- BOM, Mystery, Baby Blankets, and a quilt for a friend... WOW!
Q-Are you a movie, music or silent sewer?
A- MUSIC
Q-Where are you from, and is quilting a part of your heritage?
A- My mom was a beautiful quilter, I think she began quilting in Relief Society.
Q- What started you in quilting?
A- My mom, she saw a lone star log cabin quilt that she loved so I made 3 for her! She HAND quilted each one!
Q- How long have you been quilting?
A- I made my first quilt when I was expecting my first son in 1981... I caught the bug and have quilted ever since!
Q- What is your favorite sewing room snack?
A- Anything CHOCOLATE!!
Tell us something that might surprise us!

My husband teases me that he can't enter my sewing room without my permission... where would he ever get that idea??

April Quilt Meeting...
April Showers will bring May flowers... so they say. This was the theme for Round Tuit this month... our Round Tuit ladies are sooo clever!
Sweet treats from some sweet ladies... and again... my luck is holding, no finishing up projects for me! However, I should really try to get a few of these from the looks from my ever growing project pile in my sewing room!!
So, lets take a look at the Round Tuit projects and see just how busy these ladies got!

She gave us some helpful ideas for removing lint from our mat and sewing room in general...
Progress in the BOM area this month...
I always regret not participating in these... they are always so much more adorable in real life than on paper! I can't wait to see them all at the end of the year... great job ladies!

As always so INSPIRING!!
This months class... SCRAPPY! Teresa Wilson and Jeri (me) taught this month... it was so fun coming up with ideas for the class... Teresa is profesh! WOW... what an organized woman!
ENTIRE quilt made from scrappy stash...
Teresa with her clear bin full of fat quarters... by color of course!!
Strippy block... with scraps, well duh!
Scrappy log cabin... compliments of Janeene, she didn't show until the class was over!
If you look close you can see ALL kinds of scraps in there, from Halloween to Christmas to Birthday! Wouldn't mind getting that quilt for my birthday!! Darling!
I was up next and gave the instructions for this CRAZY block quilt! It was so fun and QUICK to put together! Sorry... for the lack of pics, but I didn't even think of taking pictures of my self while I was teaching! .... I guess I'm OK with that;)
